These are the instructions you’ll find in the box when you buy the RedCat.  The instructions will walk you through step by step how you can use the RedCAT in your AR-15 or AR-10 rifle.  You’ll learn about dry-fire training basics and how the RedCat can help you improve your training while saving on ammunition.  The instructions also include basic safety instructions, cautions and warnings that should always apply when handling firearms.  You’ll learn about RedCat compatibility, how to install the RedCat, how to function check your rifle to be sure the RedCat is installed properly and will work in your rifle.  We’ve even included a basic rifle dry fire training scenario and suggestions for how to tailor your training sessions to include the RedCat for all categories of users – from beginners to competition shooters; military and law enforcement; and how the RedCat can be used in retail, storage and transportation situations.

“Read This First” Card

This is the card that comes in the RedCat box when you purchase the RedCat from one of our retailers.  This card is critical – because we don’t want you to try to smash the RedCat into your AR-15 or AR-10 lower receiver and force the fit.  The RedCat is designed for the AR-15, M-4 and M-16 but the AR platform varies widely.  Users must verify fit and function before 1st use.

Outer Box

This is a print of the RedCat box!  It has our logo, shows you that the RedCat is made in the USA and that we are a proud veteran owned company.  Thanks for your purchase!  We appreciate your support and can’t wait to hear how the RedCat helps your training!

REDCAT Sticker

We all have stickers in our workshops and on our rifle cases! Why not add a RedCat sticker to your collection? We hope to see a RedCat in every rifle bag and case in the future. Train Hard. Stay Safe!

VIDEOS

01 – INTRO

A short familiarization video demonstrating the basics on how to install RedCat and do dry fire training with basic dry fire training drills.  Watch how he disengages the safety selector as he brings the rifle to bear on the target.  With the RedCat, he can pull the trigger multiple times without having to rack the bolt to unlock the safety.  He’s then free to move on to the next target and repeat as desired. This highlights how dry fire training with the RedCat helps improve training and prevents the development of  bad habits.

02 – UNBOXING

Here’s what you’ll find when you open the box with your new RedCat! The box includes the RedCat (of course!) a card with compatibility details, installation instructions and a RedCat sticker.  That leaves only the most important part of the package…you!  Pick up your RedCat today and begin your journey to excellence!

03 – THE SAFETY SWITCH

Here, we discuss the “safety switch” dry fire training issue with the AR platform that drove the creation of the RedCat.

Problem: without live ammo, the safety selector locks in ‘fire’ once the trigger is pulled.  To switch back to ‘safe’ you must pause the drill and rack the bolt…this creates bad habits.  Solution: the RedCat!  Dry firing with the RedCat is just like the real world: disengage the safety as you bring the rifle to bear on the target(s).  Engage the target(s).  Re-engage the safety as you lower the rifle.  Repeat as desired.

04 – INSTALL AND REMOVAL

This is a quick installation and removal demo.  Use this breakdown to follow along, 1. pull the takedown pin 2. separate the upper and lower receivers using the pivot pin as a hinge 3. drop in the RedCat making sure the three squares are on top and the “RedCat” stamp in front faces the barrel.  4. close the upper onto the lower receiver. 5. Reinstall the takedown pin and you’re ready for a dry fire training session!
