Bayou Born Firearms is a small shop found north of New Orleans and east of Baton Rouge where I55 and I12 meet. Barry, the owner, recently opened up and is working hard to expand his inventory and shop. He’s hit the ground running offering both in-store and online purchases and specializes in AR-15 builds and accessories. He always loves a challenge and his skills go way beyond the AR platform. If you can imagine it, he can build it!
Barry grew up on an old farm with plenty of property to cultivate a passion for firearms. Acres of open fields were the ideal place for the hunters in the family to come by and sight their rifles for the upcoming season…and an opportunity for Barry to try out a lot of awesome guns.
His other obsession – Competition BBQ – where he traveled all over the southern part of the country for 11 years, became challenging as Covid began to shut down the events. In need of an outlet for his self-diagnosed obsessive compulsive personality (a diagnosis we all share), he reverted back to his lifelong passion of firearms. From there, it didn’t take long to go from shooting to building to selling. It’s just his nature.
Bayou Born Firearms builds and sells its own brand of lightweight AR-15s and parts but will be expanding to build AR-10s and AR-9s in the near future. They have access to an infinite number of firearms, parts and accessories…so if you want it, they can build it or order it for you.
